2016: An Experiment

Founded by experts in circular economy, data security and IT refurbishment, we hosted a pop-up event in a Brighton cafe to see how much unwanted tech was lying around people's homes... the answer was lots!

2017 - 2019: Pop-up Series

Driven to do more, we hosted 7 pop-up events in 2 years across Brighton & Hove and City of London.

​As word spread, we were able to collect 10.5 tonnes of electrical items for reuse or recycling!

2020: RevaluElectricals Launch in partnership with The ZeroNet

Supported by Recycle Your Electricals and Brighton & Hove City Council, we launched a residential collection service for small electrical items in Brighton & Hove.

March 2022: Revaluit Shop Launch

Already working with local charities, we needed more ways to get refurbished electricals directly back into the community...so we launched the Revaluit Shop at the bottom of Brighton's North Street!

October 2022 - January 2024: Brighton & Hove Library of Things Pilot

In partnership with Interreg BLUEPRINT and Brighton & Hove City Council, we opened a local chapter of London’s popular lending library, The Library of Things. 

Brighton & Hove Library of Things allowed residents to save money and reduce waste by affordably lending useful things like carpet cleaners, hand sanders, drills, jigsaws and projectors.

The pilot for Brighton & Hove Library of Things ended in January 2024, but you can still borrow useful items through local schemes such as Brighton Borrowers and Brighton & Hove Tool Library.

2024: Moving Online & Digital Inclusion Focus

We have moved our services online after a brilliant 2 years on the high-street. We’ve been your go-to spot for refurbished electricals, and supported a community of sustainable living through reuse and the Brighton & Hove Library of Things pilot. The funds raised and items donated have been essential for supporting our charitable initiatives and partner organisations.

Using all of our experience since launch, we've streamlined our collections service and switched our focus to laptops and desktop computers only. These items allow us to have the greatest impact by promoting digital inclusion, and provide tech to those that need it most!
